Lifelong Faith Formation

Lifelong Faith Formation in the Montelores Catholic Community aims to provide activities for learning and living our faith for all ages .  With a focus on multi generational interaction and whole community involvement, we strive to bring our Faith to the children, the youth, the young adults, the parents, and the senior members of our community.

Our Religious Education program, called LIFT – Living In Faith Together – for grades K-8, offers age appropriate catechesis as well as involving the children in specific liturgies and other church and community activities.  LIFT classes are held almost every Wednesday evening at Montelores Center from 5:45 to 7:15 pm from mid September to mid May.  Parents are asked to stay during classes, help with snacks and help in the classrooms; coffee is always available.  This builds stronger communities and stronger families.

Our High School youth group called CYCLE –  Catholic Youth Creates Love Everywhere  meets every Sunday evening from 3:30 to 4:45 pm followed by the 5:00pm Mass at Saint Margaret Mary, September thru June and intermittently throughout the summer.   CYCLE encourages working together, bringing youth to the Lord thru praise and worship, adoration, community involvement, volunteerism, prayer and social activities.

RCIA for adults and children.  Our RCIA preparation is continuous and ongoing meeting throughout most of the year on Sundays after 10:30 Mass.  Following the guidelines and format presented by The North American Forum On The Catechumenate,  this is a wonderfully exciting journey not only for those interested in becoming full members of the Catholic Church, but for the catechists, returning Catholics, active Catholics, or anyone interested in knowing more about the faith.  Parents and/or sponsors are asked to attend all meetings and functions.

A Good Friday Spiritual Walk is scheduled each year.  Prayer, faith sharing, contemplation, fellowship, and walking fill the day as the Spirit fills our hearts.

Adult Bible studies or special presentations have been offered throughout the year.

Adult retreats, and catechetical retreats and conferences are held within the deanery.
