Catholic Daughters and Junior Catholic Daughters

Catholic Daughters Court Sacred Heart 1606 is the very active local chapter of Catholic Daughters of America (CDA).  CDA is an organization of Catholic women who seek to serve God, their local parishes, and the wider community through service projects and faith support.

Among the activities of the local court:

  • assist families when there is a death by providing funeral dinners and people who say the rosary at the vigil/rosaray service
  • fundraisers, including raffles, dinners, and craft show
  • education contests
  • legislative awareness

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the patroness of Catholic Daughters; the CDA motto is “Unity and Charity”.

Junior Catholic Daughters of America (JCDA) is an organization of young women between the ages of 12 and 17.  Junior Catholic Daughters have sponsored service projects, held fundraisers and actively participated in the faith life of the parish.
